At Dayspring Villa Assisted Living, we believe in continued training and learning opportunities for our team members, as well as providing them support. With the assistance of Christian Living Communities (CLC), we maintain a mentorship program. According to Merriam-Webster a mentor is a trusted counselor or guide. At CLC, our mentors provide a “best friend at work” that new team-members can rely on throughout their first year.
We are excited to announce two new mentors who will have the honor of being a support system for new team members that we bring on board. Please congratulate Lolita Barron and Paige Lucero on this honor!
Lolita is a Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP) and started at Dayspring Villa in 2018. She says she is looking forward to “seeing my Mentees go the distance.”
Paige is a QMAP and has been with Dayspring since 2017. Paige is excited about this opportunity because she “gets to help the Mentees do the right thing.”
Executive Director Latoya Garcia is excited for the Mentorship Program because of the benefits it provides for our community. She notes, “It creates a clear path for initial and ongoing training for new team members, and it also allows for the growth of our Mentors, giving them increased purpose. They train our new hires and they are also involved in things like our skills fair. It benefits our new and current team members.”
