Dayspring Villa Wins Assisted Living Award

At Dayspring Villa, we are passionate about providing a safe and welcoming space for our senior assisted living residents to feel at home. The opportunity to enrich the quality and dignity of life for older adults with love, respect, and compassion IS our award. As caregivers, our reward is seeing our residents enjoy their time and take advantage of every day on their own terms, based on their personal preference and situation. We delight when a resident loves their favorite meal and celebrate when they experience a personal victory like transitioning from their wheelchair to a walker. Our rewards are when our residents feel accomplished by simply finishing their next book or puzzle.

Sometimes our work is acknowledged with an assisted living award or honor which is an extra public acknowledgement for what we strive to achieve every day for our residents. We are excited to share that our very own Maintenance Coordinator, Adolfo, won second place for the Individual Leadership in the Energize Denver Awards. Team members, like Adolfo, are what make Dayspring Villa such a special place to live and to work.

The Energize Denver Energy Efficiency Awards come out every year for buildings that save the most energy in the Denver area. The program requires all buildings to keep track of energy performance and ensures they meet interim and final Performance Requirements. Recently, the program added two award categories: COVID Adaptation & Resilience and Individual Leadership. These newly added categories are open to all buildings and individuals that were in compliance with the Energize Denver Benchmarking Ordinance in 2020.

The Individual Leadership category aims to recognize individuals who demonstrate excellence and are fundamental to their team and company’s success. This person goes above and beyond to make sure that your building is not just operational, but also efficient and at the forefront of high performance. This category is also open to an individual who was fundamental to their team’s success with COVID Adaptation.

This assisted living award highlights the difference that each of our team members makes for our residents. Even though it might go unnoticed by many, the big and little things our staff does all contribute to the care and quality experience for everyone at Dayspring Villa.

Just like Adolfo, an everyday hero at Dayspring Villa, there are many everyday heroes in our daily lives. Think of the grocery store clerk who goes out of his or her way to help you with your groceries. Or the neighbor who stops by just to say hello. Remember the server who made sure you had what you needed even though it was a busy time and how that made you feel. These are the everyday heroes that can make your day.

Sometimes you don’t even notice the support, but it makes a big difference in your life. And sometimes you get to see and acknowledge the contributions of those who work hard to support others. The Individual Leadership in the Energize Denver assisted living award is this opportunity for us at Dayspring Villas.

Our residents may not notice the benefit from living in a highly functioning and energy efficient building, but it affects the quality of the environment and our ability to continue to focus on the areas of living the residents do notice like compassionate and quality care, engaging activities and outing and nourishing, delicious meals. When they are in their private apartments or in the spacious community rooms, our residents are enjoying the efforts of our everyday heroes whether they know it or not! We appreciate all the seen and unseen everyday heroes at Dayspring Villa and other areas of daily life.
